Harry L Katz is an experienced curator and appraiser of artistically, culturally and historically significant American and European works on paper including fine, documentary and popular prints, drawings, photographs, posters, cartoons and caricatures, illustrations and pictorial ephemera.
Katz is a former Head Curator in the Prints and Photographs Division at the Library of Congress (1991-2004), where he curated two dozen exhibitions of graphic art and led the effort to collect pictorial works related to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
He works with artists and collectors (or their heirs and estates), as well as public and private organizations and institutions to preserve and manage visual archives for purposes of development and promotion, gift, sale or tax valuation. [More]
